Litigation Paralegal (Corporate Commercial Defense)

Bridge Professional Staffing, LLC is partnering with an exceptional law firm in downtown Albuquerque to recruit an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity.

Position Overview

• Role: Litigation Paralegal
• Focus Area: Corporate commercial defense work
• Type: Full-time, Contract-to-Hire
• Location: On-site at the law firm’s downtown Albuquerque office (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Compensation: $29 – $32 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
• Perks: Paid parking provided

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and edit discovery and related legal documents
• Set up and maintain case files
• Proofread work for content, accuracy of copy, format, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
• Acquire, review, summarize, and index case documents
• Monitor case calendars
• Handle oral and written communications with clients and other external contacts
• Conduct factual and limited legal research
• Assist with trial preparation, including the compilation of notebooks and exhibits

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of minimum previous litigation experience required
• Medical Records: Proven experience requesting medical records and preparing in-depth medical summaries
• Case Gathering: Ability to gather appropriate information associated with active cases, including seeking witnesses, planning pleadings, and acquiring affidavits
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Document Management systems
• Communication & Detail: Top-notch written and verbal communication skills, effective interpersonal interaction, and excellent proofreading and word processing abilities
• Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of legal terms, court rules, and legal procedures
